INFORMATION FOR NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL MODELLING AGENCIES:
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SCOUTING AGENCY & A MODELLING AGENCY? A scouting agency finds potential models and presents them as a completed product to modelling agencies to be signed and ready to work. We take raw talent and transform them into working fashion models. Scouting agencies don't book the models work, that is the job of the modelling agency. But the scouting or "mother" agency continues to manage the model, train them, assist them, and guide their careers. They ensure the model is properly mentored and keeps a good hand in where the models career is going.
CAN ANYONE COME AND TRAIN UNDER YOU AND THEN GO AND FIND THEIR OWN AGENT? In a word - NO. Only those handpicked by Hunter Model Management and their affiliated agencies are privvy to the training, building and mentoring of the models career. The criteria is strict and the level of international training and guidance is elite and high, this is done "in-house" and conducted personally by management. A good working relationship needs to be built between the potential model and the agency, and only those who have "been there done that" on the international modelling circuit, have the necessary knowledge and skillset to pass this on to the young proteges. Anything less than that isn't of a high enough standard. An agency is only as good as it's models. Which is why we are selective, and our models second to none.
I AM ALWAYS BEING TOLD I AM PRETTY AND SHOULD BE A MODEL, BUT AM TOO SHORT, WHY THE HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS WITH YOUR AGENCY?
There is a lot diversity within the modelling industry, we are an editorial model scouting agency, not a commercial modelling agency. Our models MUST be tall enough to be runway models as well as photographic, they simply cannot be just photographic. They MUST be able to work both markets and meet the international fashion model criteria. The minimum industry standard height for runway is 173cm (5'8"), but even then, we still prefer girls around 177cm (5'10").
If you have a great look but find yourself under the minimum height, we suggest you try a commercial agency where there is much more flexibility on the height.
